To Be Determined: A Dance Project
Welcome to the To Be Determined legacy page!
To Be Determined was a student produced, choreographed, designed and executed full-length dance performance by students of the Ryerson School of Performance.
This performance was an artistic and physical exploration of the beauty and expansiveness of the natural world, and the decline of these environments as a result of human activity. Through dance and movement, we travelled to different habitats, such as the arctic, tropics, oceans, deserts, and wetlands, where we discovered and observed the power of natural occurrences, the functions of the living things and creatures, but also the disruption of these ecosystems as a result of human impact.
It premiered in February 2020 at the Ryerson Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

Paperless Programmes
The company of To Be Determined were committed to incorporating eco-friendly alternatives in their practice whenever possible. In lieu of traditional paper booklet programmes, they decided to create a large scale poster-style programme board, which was prominently displayed in the theatre’s lobby. Programme content was also accessible online on mobile devices through a QR code.
Our Team
Our Non-Profit Partner: The Ontario Clean Air Alliance
The Ontario Clean Air Alliance led the successful campaign to phase-out Ontario’s five dirty coal-fired power plants. They are now working to move Ontario towards a 100% renewable future through an integrated combination of energy conservation and efficiency, water power imports from Quebec, and cost-effective Made-in-Ontario green energy.
To Be Determined aimed to donate all surplus box office revenue from the production to the Ontario Clean Air Alliance. They successfully raised and donated $1500.
